DID YOU KNOW?? The 1974 AMC Hornet X, driven by Roger Moore in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), is famous for its 360-degree “Astro Spiral” bridge jump, which was the first stunt designed by computer simulation. The stunt, performed by Bumps Willard in a single take, was calculated by Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory to ensure the car cleared the Mae Klong River in Thailand. The red hatchback was specially modified for the jump, featuring a centered steering wheel, heavy-duty suspension, and a roll cage. One of the stunt-used cars was sold for $110,000 in 2017! The car had a 5.9-liter V8 engine and became one of the most memorable stunt vehicles in the James Bond franchise.
